They could have been really good, saying that considering your shuuter was only 90/sec they are not bad! Open your aperture right up to increase your shutter speed to really capture the action, I would also go for an higher ISO aswell. Also try and leave a liitle more space in front of the bird.

I have read some other posts here that suggest a good bird capture requires a shutter speed of at least 1/1000
