    Common Kingfisher at Sunset

Posted via tapatalk due to 503 on the computer. Now, bed!

Couldn't get him earlier in the day as there was nowhere to hide - he was perched out in the open on the edge of the reservoir and I've seen him there often since, so its obviously his favourite spot. Pitching a tent nearby would be akin to boiling an egg as the sun would just bake you as it rose during the day. Perhaps I'll set it up late afternoon and hope he forgets before it gets too dark? I get the impression from this forum that they're not so dumb, though .

Anyway, he at least allowed me this long shot at sunrise, which I hope you like as much as I do.

          Beautiful.

With the recent weather here, our sunrises are just lighter grey!

Wonderful setting. A close up would be nice but these pictures have their own narrative.

Thank you for your comments, everyone, I'm glad you liked them too.
I love visiting this place (Bang Pra) and go whenever I can, even popping in for an hour when on the way to the airport, which I shall do this Saturday :-(
