    Captive birds in flight.

These are my first attempts at BIF. These were taken at an avisn rescue center. There was some talk earlier this week around shooting animals in captivity, hope I've put these in the right section!

I was there as part of a family trip out, so not soley there to photograph. I really only wanted to give the lens, a Tamron 28-300 vc one last try. I have found the lens really soft and far too slow for my needs.

Today was wet and fairly overt cast, so the iso was up around 1600 at some parts of the day on the 650d.

These are all fully post processed, and my keeper rate was not very high.

    All shot at f8

Thank you, but my keeper rate was very low and they've been through a lot of PP.

As per another post, I'm currently trying to decide on an 70-200 f4IS or the non IS f2.8

Both the f/4 IS and 2.8 non-IS lenses are excellent.
Both feature very high on my Top Rated Zoom lens list (Here).
If you think having IS is more beneficial to you then go with the f/4, if not the f/2.8. It is only 1-stop difference but both are superior to the Tamron. The Tamron is still a desirable lens but not in the same class as the Canon "L" lenses.

          A good set of images.
