      Great shot Stan, complete with reflection.

      Great Crested Grebe's are one of my all time favourites. Their courtship is very photogenic, they eat fish and the females carry their young on their backs. Plenty of opportunities for interesting shots to come.

        your fish shot is a classic, we almost got something similar - we were shooting from the bridge over the channel by the Peacock Tower and on one occasion the grebe dived and surfaced the other side of the bridge, with a fish but facing away from us and into the light. At this same location two years ago got a few shots of one of the grebes carrying 3 young ones so that may be another oportunity next time

                Barnes needs a visit soon, only half an hour up the road from me!
                probably Slimbridge for us next weekend as the cranes are nest building

                Never seen any with their young - that would be a nice to see.
                I will see if i can locate the shots i took a couple of years ago
