    No longer an empty nest

Away again last weekend & I come back to the allotment garden to find that the carelessly sited nest http://www.eos-magazine-forum.com/sh...ation-location is now occupied by a song thrush!

Despite the risks she is sitting tight.

      Thanks Tom.

She really is one brave thrush. The nest is adjacent to a concrete path leading to my apiary. A fellow beekeeper who has a hive in my apiary walked right past her yesterday evening to see his bees, and back again, and he didn't even notice her. She can stay incredibly still, almost catatonic for hours.
