    Grey Heron- on a dull grey day alright!

    I went out yesterday to Conwy rather late in the evening and saw this grey heron when the tide was in. Pictures taken with Canon 60D + 300mm f4L + 1.4TC; exif TV 1600,ISO 800 f9, AWB

        The light was not ideal which was a shame as you have some nice poses. The re works look a bit better but the first two in particular are now oversharpened and never sharpen the background - I dont know if you can in PSE but if you sharpen on a duplicate layer you can rub out areas you dont want to affect

            Nice set Nat, the second set are better but as Stan has said some look a little over sharpened.

              Thanks Stan,Dave and Ian for your comments. This was a difficult day with the light where the Heron was appearing in a black and white set up. Not much of any colour and to add to my woes it started raining. Not an expert to over come such difficult (IMHO) lighting conditions. I don't generally like to alter images too much via PSE
