Another shot from the Ythan Estuary on the Forvie NR.
I couldn't believe my luck as I have been looking for one of these for ages then I spotted this one amongst the Eiders.
It was a bonus to capture it with prey

600D, 100-400L, ISO 400, 1/1000 @ f5.6

We have lots of Goosanders on the river behind our house and one guy that I meet along there calls them Red Breasted Mergansers and we often have a heated debate on heir identity so I guess thats one up for me

That's a great capture and when they have caught fish, they have swallowed it so quickly you hardly have time for a shot.
