Good shot, great detail and not easy with trees in the background .... I know how the MKIII struggles to track the subject in that scenario.

Good shot, great detail and not easy with trees in the background .... I know how the MKIII struggles to track the subject in that scenario.

Colin, last week's visit to the Red Kite feeding centre at Gigrin was one of the best days i've had photographing BIF with my 1DMk3 and EF 100-400L is combo, the lighting was spot on and this is when i notice the 100-400 seems to perform at it's best, also slowing the tracking down on the 1D Mk3 has helped keep focus on the Kite.
