    Out taking pics of the kestrel this evening and this little chap(ess)? popped up on this stump. Managed to get one shot before he/she moved off.

          Very good. Best I've gotten was on the wall of a local sewerage plant!

            I think we all have boggy species, mine appears to be dipper. Despite several pairs close by I never seem to get a good image. Beginning to think they know when I have my camera as they usually keep their distance. Couple of times I've been out with my camera and they little so and so's perch on rocks in full view.

            Have muttered a few expletives!

                  Thanks everyone. Lucky that he/she stood still for a second or two.

                  All my bird pics have been opportune so far (except kestrel) hope to be getting back to visiting some reserves in near future and taking some other species.
