    My favourite barn owl in flight images

    Hi All

    Images of the barn owl @BWC in flight - my favourites from the day of the barn owl flying over a meadow - they are not from the same sequence - see previous post for that.

    1DX + 300mmMKII used.

            Definitely a great set John, it's difficult to pick one favourite from these. As Tom points out no.2 is a great shot, I quite like the close-up on the Owl's face.

                  Thanks a lot Bill - I have only just seen your post as I was up very early to travel to Silverstone Classic Race event and have just got back. I am very pleased with the images - had too many to choose from as the BWC is a great place to go - there must be similar places in your area Regards John

                    Cheers Tom - I like all of them - the close up was at the min focusing distance of the 300mm lens - 2m I believe - as the owl swooped over me to its handler. Regards John

                            They're all very good indeed, but I think no 3 just edges it for me.
