This should be my 'Gull in flight' picture ...

B0001319 by Belzoni II, on Flickr

Some technical 'stuff'. 1/2000, f6.3 at 270mm. It was taken using my Tamron 18-270mm lens and with my old 550D, which is now gone. For my standard of photography, I find that the Tamron lens is very good. It means that I don't need to take out different lenses all the time.

Now that one does look like a gull, probably herring gull. Good detail and exposure but too tight to the right of the frame - need more canvas at the top and right and less on the left

Thanks ST EOS. Stan your comments are noted, appreciated and inwardly digested. I shall try to improve.

Looks sharp and the exposure is good, not easy with white birds against a blue sky. Agree with Stan about being too tight to the right of the frame and the top.
