the two comments are linked really.....I have used this combo for about 5 years now and in my opinion there is nothing to beat it.....other than perhaps a 300 f2.8 or 500 f4 but both those are way out of my meansBeautifully crisp Stan, and a testament to the quality of Canon's 300/1.4x .....the sharpness and detail in your photos never fails to impress
