    Goldfinch at Oxleas Wood

    Caught this one on the way home from a trip around the woods that resulted in seeing nothing of photographic interests.

      Well spotted Andy.I think I might have cropped it in a bit,to lose some of that greenery.

        Andy, nice try. Personal preference only of course, but I prefer the one on your Flickr stream with the background left in. The selection just looks too false to me.

            This is a completely different image. Or is that not what you meant?

              Oh is it? It looked to me like you'd selected the bird and the branches onto a plain background. Obviously not. Sorry, my bad.
              Anyway, yes I do prefer it.

                No problem. They are quite similar in the body but if you look at the bird's legs, they're quite different between the two shots.
