    Roseate Spoonbill

Taken just after sunrise on Bunche Beach, which is a 20 minute drive from Fort Myers Beach. The advantage of Bunche Beach is that there are no condos to obscure the rising sun. Just have to get up a bit earlier!

It's possibly a bit tight at the top, but I was hoping to get the reflection which didn't work so I cropped it. (That's where zooms score over fixed focal lengths). I might have deleted it but for the drop of water and the light. EOS 1DX with 500mm f4L IS and 1.4 converter.

                  Re: Roseate Spoonbill

Good Spoonbill shot in its own right, but the water drop splash is great timing and adds some tension to the shot.

Its a great shot, Brian, well done, what a beautiful bird
The drop makes the right to left horizon genius - I don't think it would have worked, otherwise.

Thanks for the kind comments. I'd like to take the credit for the timing, however it's all down to the camera and 10 frames a second! To be honest I don't even remember the water droplets when I was taking it.
