Having got my male and female GSW confused and now hopefully sorted, here is the female, liked this one with the tongue showing

Been meaning to ask Stan, having noticed it in several of your Woodpecker shots, is there a natural reason for these birds to rest their tail feathers on the Tree, just wondered if its a balance thing or perhaps another reason.

Another from Warnham Brian - not too far from you either. Its a long hide with loads of feeders but plenty of natural perches spread around
