Couple of photo's of the swans at a local nature reserve.

Always three swans together, but one is grey and always seperates itself from the other two...snapped a couple of nice ones though..Taken on my EOS1100D

Looks like the light was very harsh which has resulted in the swans looking very yellow rather than whiteand although probably not possible here, with any wildlife it is always best to try and shoot at their eye level

Thanks for the tips and feedback Stan...Yeah, it was a bit harsh, crisp midday sun...will have a go down at eye level next time i'm there and try again...

HA HA HA....would not be the first time...been known to lie down in a stream with my camera to get a dreamy water shot, as close to water level as I can before now

In two of the shots you have water dripping from the beaks. That is a rather nice touch to add to swan shots.

Cheers Colin...Lucky timing I guess..ha ha ha...On the second picture, you can just about see the water splashing backup from the droplet hitting the surface....Cant see it that well on these scaled down ones..
