    Found when clearing out some old shots this morning. Shot at Barnes last spring

          they are reasonably common and if you do see one you cant miss it - this is a male, the female is quite drab in comparison

              There is a pond in the New Forest where there are a good few of them, both male and female and once i remember they were a bit of a nuisence in coming too near where i had set up a feeding station for small birds

                      Very nice shots Stan. I may have used a bit of fill flash to put a catch light in the eye of the first image.
