    Beautiful shot with a very nice catch-light in its eye. It is a shame that the tail feathers aren't in focus but I would have loved to have taken that shot

                        Great shot with a perfect head angle. Agree about the perch, which is a shame. It's a bit big in the frame for my taste, but I would have been pleased to take it. It appears to be missing a claw on it's left leg.

                          Very nice portrait. I am not too fussed by the lack of focus on the tail. And these metal trees are growing everywhere now!

                          Stan - you will be putting a lot of us off from trying our first bird shots by decrying the feeder. I agree that the aim might well be to be more natural, but the rest of us have to take small steps getting there!!!
