    Heron

Done very little if no bird photography, but quite often see a Heron on my dog walks and was lucky enough to come across it when i had my 1D3 and 70-200mm with me.
I know patience is essential, but i waited over an hour for it to take off (even if it only flew 15ft along the tow path!), and was quite pleased with the results.
    Any advice, critique very welcome.

Nothing wrong with those, very well captured. Look at the "stalled" feathers in number 2.

      Thanks Colin.
Usually the only time i get to go out with the camera is when i take the dog out, and considering he's a very excitable Boxer cross means any chance of a good pic is slim to none!
Only reason i got these few was a bench was at hand to tie him to!!
