Gull flyby - checking new firmware

Updated the 1DX with new firmware (V2.0.3) and managed an hour at the beach today to check out the camera.

Sequence of a gull flying towards and then past me.

John, looking at the larger images on flickr, the bird itself looks superb, but the blue background has quite a lot of wavy patterns to it. Could be just me though?

Hi Andy - you are correct - it is caused by LR5 when it exports to a low res jpeg and it is very obvious when you have solid blocks of 2 colours adjacent to each other e.g. blue sky and a white cloud. Thanks for the comments - Regards John
