    A cracking image Paul,
    I am waiting to see more of your pics as I am saving for a new lens.
    Torn between 400mm 5.6L and 300mm f4L with 1.4 converter.

      Actually if i was to go back id just go for the 100-400L or defo that new tamron 150-600 lens. The 400 is good but i think its a bit too 'pro' for me.

        Stick with it and learn its sweet spots.

        The 400mm f5.6 is one of Canons gems. They got it so right from the start that it never needed changing and for a Canon lens nearly 11 years old, that is some going. The only reason it is rumoured to change this year is the addition of IS, which I and many others wouldn't bother with.
