    Eye is nice and sharp, shame about the blade of grass in front. But nice catch.

      The blade does rather spoil it. Likely to be a rock at that location i would have thought

        Not too sure location is much of a guide as its quite common to find both in similar areas.

        Meadow Pipit is far more common than Rock and in general its probably safe to assume its Meadow. Meadow also have much paler legs which from what I can see in the image this bird has pale legs. Meadow Pipit also has paler plumage again this looks a bit pale.

        Having said that I've always had big problems with these birds.
