              I was yesterday at my local river looking for the Kingfisher again after I saw him two weeks ago. I saw some mallards coming towards me all edgy, and I thought, yes here we go, a nice we flight shot. Turned IS off, set everything. Sure as fate they belted down the line towards me. I missed the whole thing lol - a bit out of practice hahaha

                    Nice one Jeff. In most of these " free range" wildlife pics, LUCK plays a very big part and thats the main thing about such photos- nothing is stage managed! YOu have to be in the right place at the right time ready for action.

                      thanks for the comments ,theres a couple more from the same burst on my flickr stream ,possibly a bit better .

                      and nat its also knowing where the "RIGHT PLACE" is as well and getting pre-positioned
