            I like the turnstone, especially the head angle. Not so sure about the background. The top left is a bit distracting.

              Part of the background is more rock and part sky. I did try cloning over the sky but it then looked unreal so i left it

                        They are all from Avon Beach which is just east of Christchurch harbour and you often find these and oystercatchers in good numbers. The shooting distance with all three was around 7 metres, so more or less full frame, the only problem is the beach is unrestricted to dogs during the winter so often the little B...s frighten the birds off - just when you are about to take the shot
