    Blue tit portrait

Just managed to keep this a decent shot (I think) DOF could be deeper, and just got away with the shutter on it. Lucky shot, but I love it.

The Mark IV is pretty phenomenal. I would go as far as to say it knocks blocks off my 5D3. IQ wise, I don't know yet, haven't been out with both, but I haven't used the 5D3 since I got this so...

    Cheers,

...and you should love it. It's an excellent shot. Bird photography isn't normally my thing but that is a great image.

I like that, DoF may be shallow but I didn't think the image suffers for it.

It's ok when you get away with it, usually side on birds are ok but that's too 2D for my liking. I like more of a difference in the shots. Took about ten mins of crouching on the one spot before he landed on the fence though. I used to change the BG on my shots but this is 100% natural.

                  Thats a wee beauty.
Body and Lens combination is obviously the business, but that takes nothing away from the photographer.
Good eye for the shot and well taken Paul.

I like the composition - if mine I would be tempted to add a little space for the bird to look into
