    Oystercatcher

    This chap was wandering around in what my wife and I think of as the reflective garden, far away from the usual oystercatcher lairs. What surprised me most, other than seeing it there, was how big these birds are. This is the closest I've been to one and the only downside was the poor light but I think they've come out well enough.

            Thanks for looking everyone. I should mention that these were shot at Slimbridge on Saturday, the vital piece of information I missed out of my original post.

                  No 2 for me as well. Good exposure, controlled black/white well.
