    Sandwich Tern with a double helping

    Following on from Colins shot the other week, we went to Brownsea on Saturday and it seems more and more of the terns are now coming in with a double helping

    Good capture Stan. Mighty fine shot for 280mm, is there much of a crop?

    The juveniles show a bit more eye detail than the adults and I see the lagoon is still full of that horrible weed.

      Its slightly cropped for composition only. They were flying so close I changed from the 300f4 with converter to the 70-200 f2.8

        You were very fortunate Stan.

        Although I had the 70 - 200mm with me, I never got to use anything less than the 500mm.

          Inthe Macdonald hide i often find 300 plus converter is too much. The shot was from the middle windows which are a bit closer to the closest island anyway
