    Pretty sharp Jeff. Seem to be lots around at the moment, as I'm typing there are 20-30 in my garden.

        Agree - its a good photo. We also have lots of goldfinches and when you see them all together it is easy to see why the collective noun is a "charm" of goldfinches.

            Just added a teasle to the top of this stick complete with cobwebs ,liberally sprinkled with Niger seeds ,just got to wait for them to come back now

                Not a vibrant coloured goldfinch but guess that is due to the UK light and through double glazing
