    sigma lens firmware update

sigma today brought out a firmware update for both the sports and C lenses ,it is alleged to improve a/f speed by up to 50% after doing it this morning i can say it does that easily and also seems to improve a/f accuracy to .only managed a hour or so out (still got the lurgies) but the results although just gulls are pleasing .worth doing if you have one of these lenses and the usb hub.both shots hand held at 600mm

        Re: sigma lens firmware update

Upgraded this morning and took a walk around my local park over lunchtime. My immediate thoughts are it's a significant improvement in accuracy, particularly with longer range shots, and the AF is snappier as well - re-focussing much more quickly than before.

Just a thought and not something I'd considered in the past, do the custom settings override the other switches? Thinking mainly the OS and range options.

Oh, forgot to say applied the FW update and agree AF seems a bit snappier. Didn't get time to do much so can't comment on accuracy yet.

Here's a thought, on later cameras you can have a/f cases and adjustments set will the lens override them as flash gun custom settings override the cameras
