    Red Kite

    Red Kite at the Llanddeusant Feeding Centre

    Still getting used to this combo, but returned to my favourite bird.

          A super pose Andy but I guess the light was quite challenging as in trying to avoid blowing out the sky, the bird has been left in shadow. Easy to fix though - I opened the image in Adobe Camera Raw and just moved the shadows slider to the right, then opened in photoshop to reframe as the bird was too central (always allow more canvas to the side in which the bird is looking) and remove the frame which don't work well for wildlife

          (ignore the lack of sharpness as its a direct upload just as a demonstration as to how the shot can be improved)

                Thanks for the advice. I chose to darken the bird to get detail in but appreciate your thoughts.
