    another one from Wednesdays trip out with steve (dawsey) a redshank on the rocks ,we found where they went after the dog put the flock up

                            A cracking image, just how do you guys get as close to these birds.
                            How's about getting someone take a picture of you capturing an image just so we can see how close you are.

                              It's a combination of local knowledge ,field craft,and observation of there habits Alan ,this particular one was taken about ten minutes after the dog scared the flock off ,I just observed where they headed and knew that it would be accessible .
                              At other times with waders I have been known to hunker down on the edge of a incoming tide and let the birds come to me ,it's not easy I can assure you and you often need lightning fast reactions .swift movements are a definite no no .
