Nice shot Steve, but I'd be tempted to crop some of the RHS - perhaps to the fork in the branches to place more emphasis on the bird.

Thanks Russell , fair point on the crop but it is a reasonably large crop as it is and didnt want to risk it more but will have a play as per your suggestion and see how it works.

I'm not sure Jeff , as it is a big bird I think it looks a bit too big for the frame now but agree the bird itself has more impact in the tighter crop.

Very nice pose, Steve. For what it is worth, I agree a crop gives it more impact with the subject larger in the frame, but I think I would shaved off the top not the side. I do like the textures of the tree branch too.
