        Nat you are getting some super shots lately of the smaller birds, this is another sharp image, well exposed and nicely posed looking into the space on the right and its not all down to the 70-300 L, you've really come on leaps and bounds over the last week or so and your images are up there with some of the best.... well done sir

          Yep that's a good shot Nat certainly looks like your technique is developing nicely.

            Thanks Tom,Jeff,Gord and Ant for your comments. Much encouraged indeed. I am sure the IQ etc is down to the L lens & I am reminded of your long, frank, PM's Gord ,when I was dithering with my choice of "long" lens.

              Gear alone won't help if someone's technique isn't good. Think you need to take some credit Nat

                    The sparrow looks sharp but the background is much too busy and fights with the bird for attention

                        Thanks Alan,Bill and Stan for taking a look. Agree that the background is cluttered with the bush but I will leave it at that as it show where the bird was sitting.
