An interesting set there Nat. I've yet to see a great white egret, we only seem to have the little egret down here, he looks considerably larger than the heron, or is that a young one?

Super set nat ,yes the great white is larger than full grown herons ,super birds

Thank you Neal,Steve,Jeff, Sue & Bill for passing by and commenting. Much appreciated. The Great White Egret is not normally resident around these parts but made it's first appearance in July last,then disappeared for a while and has now re-appeared. Occasionally there are battles between the GWE and the Heron. The GWE appears to have settled down in Conwy but I still cannot see it's mate.

I was expecting a bit more action from your title , only seen the larger Egret at a distance , it`s nice to get a baring on the size compared to the Heron .

doubt if you will see the partner nat ,they are still a u.k rarity not sure of exact numbers but its sub 50 in u.k
