    Red Kite Feeding Sequence

Had another session in Mid Wales last week and these three shots show a bird starting its dive , extending its talons as it approached the water and then having picked up some food enjoying his meal on the wing.

Thanks Nat , No Nat they were not taken at Gigrin I dont like the location and too many of the birds are wing tagged which spoils the photo's. I go to Nant Y Arian about 10 miles from Aberystwith . It is a much more natural setting in a valley and has a lake over which the birds fly to pick up food. Very often morsels get dropped onto the water hence you can get the odd shot of birds diving down and taking food off the surface of the lake.Very few of the birds are wing tagged and apart from a small car park charge it is Free unlike the hides at Gigrin.
