    Carrion Crow

    Not a bird I make a habit of shooting but this was was caught in some nice light which really brought out a purple sheen on its plumage.

    You're obviously not a gamekeeper then

      Not an easy bird to photograph well. This is one of the best I have seen.

            Why not ? It`s quite hard to get a decent image of Crows ect , if your not sitting in a hide or service station , bet you would really struggle to get a photo as good as this .

                  A very nice shot Steve. YOu have got the eye showing well in the all black set up. Just for your info, Crows are natural scavengers in Sri Lanka and are highly respected by the people. One is not allowed to kill a crow!
