    Flappet Lark

Taken on a morning game drive at Phinda in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. We were expecting it to fly as we stopped in our safari vehicle as it was not that far away, but it stayed for about a minute and allowed us to get some shots.

EOS 1DX, 300mm f2.8 L IS II lens, 1.4 III converter, hand held.

    Thanks for looking.

Very nice image of a slightly strange looking bird with a stranger name.
