Re: Raven on the lookout!
yep top two are carrion crows ,the bottom one a jackdaw ,personally i think that all three could do with constructive cropping ,as theres way to much negative space in all the pics .
i.e the jackdaw could be cut in half top to bottom with a 16x9 crop and still be good ,forget the middle shot and use the top one a square crop lowering the sky slightly and moving bird to the left again would look good ,as it has something to look into .
if you get to the high tide on the tues nat i,m gonna have to give you a talking to

Re: Raven on the lookout!
The birds were on the lookout for the Peregrine Falcons which were hovering around the old Quarry & cliff. I know I can crop the bird a bit more but I am rather reluctant in case the IQ degrades!!!
Jeff,not sure about the 17th Monday (or is it the 18th? Tues)? I have a hospital appointment on 13th & 14th,next week.Depends on how I feel afterwards. A bit of a nuisance getting "old"!!!!Last edited by Nathaniel; 08-10-2016, 12:34.Canon 6D; Canon 760D;Canon G15;Canon 40mm f2.8(Pancake);Canon 50mm f1.8(ii); Canon 17mm-40mm f4L;Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM;Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 STM lens;Canon 24mm-105mmf4L IS;Canon 70-300mm f4-f5.6 L IS USM;Kenko 1.4x HD TC;Canon 430EX ii flash;Giottos tripod;Manfretto monopod;Cokin P filters + bits and pieces!
