    Sorry Nat, none really work as the bird is looking away from you, the eye is in shadow and lots of chromatic aberration particularly in the first. I guess they are also very big crops as looking quite noisy

      Thanks Stan. Yes, they are indeed large crops and the problems you have mentioned have been noted. Perhaps it is my cropping the image as I wanted to get rid of lots of untidy branches and leaves. I could have left the image much smaller with all the distractions which you often point out, and have been noted.

      P.s. There is no CA in the second and third image. What you can see as a little blurr at the right hand side bottom is where I cloned out a leaf. The first image has got a lot of CA due to cropping it too much.

          Thanks Dave. Must get a Sigma lens to get bigger images but the weight puts me off completely. Not young anymore!

                Have to agree with Stan on this nat ,to big a crop ,bird facing wrong way smudged detail ..and once again if shot in raw branches could have been easily cloned out .i think we need a meet up soon to get you back on track old mate
