    Blue Tit

I do love our garden birds, so a question for you please. Is the crop to tight, as wanted to show off the Blue Tit.

    Re: Blue Tit

the crop is fine and the bird looks sharp with a clean background but overall the shot looks a bit "muddy" and dark, presume shot in overcast conditions. Lifting the exposure by half a stop and lifting the shadows might help overcome some of those problems

the only thing i would say is if you had lowered yourself a bit the p.o.v would have been right on the eyes

Love this shot, what is it about garden birds that we just keep taking photos of them? I have got a long way to go to get to this standard, but all the tips I am getting from here are helping.

Because they're there! I've only just put the feeders out again after summer and it's taken a few days but now getting lots of goldfinches, greenfinches, blue tits & great tits. I need to move it slightly so that it's a bit better positioned as it's in a corner near a small tree and a shed - good for the birds but not so good for photography!
