Lovely Jeff , not sure I had enough reach with the full frame body to get near that one , its a beauty

Thanks all for the comments ,Steve was with me trying out his new 1DX a interesting comparison as although a far better faster camera it seems that the crop factor of the 80D gave me a advantage .we will have to wait and see what steves are like after p.p but I also think yesterday's conditions were difficult I.e extremely bright winter sun with a lot of sea fog present that the cameras picked up and we didn't .

You've got some really nice images of SEO recently.

Really like using my 5D3 but can be lacking in reach sometimes that's why I bought a 7D2. Hoping it will allow me to zoom back a bit on the Sigma to what is supposed to be slightly sharper focal lengths. Not that I think there is much wrong with it at 600mm anyway.

I noticed a big difference yesterday Ant using a full frame camera for the first time. The birds were not particularly close and I really missed the extra 360mm reach I would have had if using my 7DMK2. The 1DX is a fabulous bit of kit and it was super quick to lock on focus and kept focus during tracking , but to get any usable images I would have to do some huge crops which obviously deteriorates the original picture.
