    the micro adjust pics

if anyone has been following my post in the digital cameras section ,i did the micro adjust last night and went out first thing to test out the results .it seems to have in every photo helped with the sharpness detail around the eye .i'm quite shocked that i haven't picked up on this before .i just put it down to a slightly inferior sensor detail wise .it wasn't until steve mentioned about my older pics that the grey matter got working .looks like a hours work has saved me a few hundred quid anyway ..any comments appreciated for or against .

    Re: the micro adjust pics

As the Speaker would say "The Eyes have it" in those shots Jeff.

I've not been brave enough to try micro-focus adjustments yet. Is this something that you're only doing on the Sigma, or on all your lenses? Do you use a software package, or a manual method?

Only looking at these on my tablet but there seems to be plenty of detail in these images. Don't think there is anything lacking in these images.

its just on the sigma russell ,i was on the verge of going back to a 1D3 when the penny dropped that it might just be a micro adjust problem .unless you have the right equipment its best to leave well alone ,the method i use is .

tripod mounted with gimbal head locked down .camera set to a low iso with lens wide open ,only use single shot and i use a triangular graduated scale to test back or front focus

Jeff, did you do the adjustment with the Sigma dock, or the usual in camera thing?

If you're going to use the lens on more than one body the adjustments should be in camera for obvious reasons.
