    couple more waxwings

    couple more from yesterday ,sorry about the twig gage on the first one but i was stood in the road dodging traffic to get it .the second one is as shot .these are really frustrating birds to get right as they seem to absorb the light from most angles

        It's only in the past two or three weeks that they've eventually reached east Kent

          I like the second one. I thought that the Waxwing season was "over" when Nov/Dec came and went!!!!!

              When I've seen them before it's been Dec and Jan. I think generally they come over to North East Scotland, work their way down the East coast before going West but this year they went West rather than South.

                The only time I've seen waxwings locally was in early March 2013.
