Great picture. Unfortunately I've seen goldfinch only couple of times in my life. I'm wondering, how did you get so clear background. With the small birds like this I always struggle with branches and leaves everywhere - in the background and in the foreground too :-) This image looks almost like a painting in a book.

Thanks for looking MarekI, it was just luck really, I was stalking the Hedgerows and it landed on a bush quite high up so had clear sky in the background.
