    Green Heron

    These small herons are quite difficult to spot as the tend to perch in the bushes alongside the water and blend in very well. This one made a brief appearance on fort Myers Beach

    Very well composed Stan, though I may adjust the levels as I recall the plumage being generally more vibrant. Could well be the same one I saw when I was last there. I've only ever seen one so he/she might be quite lonely!

          thanks guys

          though I may adjust the levels as I recall the plumage being generally more vibrant.
          I think that was how it was in the light at the end of the day - has sometimes been quite strange light here this time

              Many of the smaller Herons/Egrets are quite shy and dislike making a public appearance

                but background is messy !!!! lo
                I knew someone would say that but there is a world of difference between a background which is more or less uniform and sharp and one which is composed of oof twigs and blown highlights etc
