    Blue tit take-off

I have been trying for a day or so to get a shot of the blue tits as they launch into flight from the hole in the wall, but the little beggars come out like a cork from a champers bottle.

    Today, success.

The face looks quite sharp John and hectic wing movement!!

P.S the picture looks quite dark now. Have you re-processed the image?

No, Nathaniel, I had not - but you are right in that the image was a little on the dark side - the problem was avoiding blowing out the white feather detail on the head.

I have now had another go at it - I think this is an improvement which has avoided the problem mentioned above.

I thinks this is a cracking shot. Exposure wise, I think it should be somewhere between the two, (just to be awkward )

Cracking shot. Exposure wise I'm with John, I think the bird is better in the first, the background the second.

They maybe right about somewhere in between the two , but it`s a cracking shot , and the edit looks good to me .

The re-edit is fine. I always have problems with the "whites" my subjects.
