    I know it is a shame about the bit of grass, but heh ho.

      Looking great David, and at 600mm handheld (I'm guessing handheld) pretty sharp too. Your focus appears to be on the plumage of the wing rather than the eye. That said, fantastic shot none the less, well done,

            Sorry Trev as you can most probably aware from my previous postings & shots, I only like doing the minimum p.p. & do not have lR or anything like that. So if it is there, it is there. Dave

                    Re: Red Leg

                    Nicely done David, easy to ignore some birds isn't it, these along with Cock Pheasants and Wood Pigeons for example have some lovely colours in them, especially in nice light.

                    Regards Paul

                        Re: Red Leg

                        It is indeed a Partridge... but another 'immigrant'... the 'red-leg' is European in origin!
                        'Ours' are grey-legged... but... doing their best to colonise Europe; so one-all on the Partridge front I guess
                        Anyhow; lovely shot of a lovely colourful bird...
                        Cheers;
