    Sandpiper on a stick

    this is the common sandpiper at Blashford, unusually perched on a post rather than flying straight onto the ground

        unusual to see one on a post
        thats what I thought - only stayed a few seconds though before hopping to the ground and waters edge

          In Suffolk earlier this year, I spotted a Redshank perched on the wooden hand-rail of a bridge in the Walberswick NNR, which I though a little unusual!

              thanks guys

              saw one on a post at Elmley Marshes last year too

              why did it not do that for me, I almost crick me neck out the hide window to get my shot
              only did it once and was a no show today
