Spoonbill Lunch

There are often spoonbills on the Brownsea lagoon but usually too far away to shoot so we were really pleased to see a couple on the Fish Tail lagoon at Keyhaven last week. Although they started at probably the maximum distance to shoot with my 300 f4 and 1.4x combination they slowly moved round the lagoon until after about half an hour one was feeding on the nearside of the lagoon a few metres away

Lots on Brownsea again today but as usual on the far side of the lagoon and much too far away to shoot and a reminder how lucky I was last week
