or not another kingfisher post ,the frozen ponds today led to this kingfisher posing nicely along the edge of a ditch ,so not a pleasant background but it allowed some close shots without getting spooked

Well caught Jeff, note how the Sunlight changes the colour to turquoise rather than blue.
